Two gears, pump body, front and back cover constitute two closed spaces. When the gear rotates, the space on the gear disengaged side gradually increases, forming a vacuum, sucking in the liquid, and the space on the gear meshed side gradually decreases, squeezing the liquid into the pipe. The suction chamber and the exhaust chamber are separated by the meshing lines of two gears. The size of the gear pump outlet pressure completely depends on the size of the pump outlet resistance.
